Thanks guys - *exactly *what I needed to know!! Have 2 quick questions
tho on the White Paper Tim pointed me to....

It says:
"The current recommendation is to first set the asynchronous job queue to a
value similar to the number of available CPU cores. Then run enough jobs so
that the server makes use of all slots in the queue. If the server is still
not under high load, increase the number of asynchronous jobs. If the load
is too high, decrease the number. We have seen that ten asynchronous jobs
is a good value for an eight-core server."

*1) What does "# of available CPU cores" mean here? **In other words, if I
have a 2 core processor for Editing Server #1, another 2 core processor for
Editing Server #2, and a **6 core processor for Publishing Server, what
would I set my Asynch Queue to initially? (2, 4, 6 or 10?)*

White Paper also says:
"Both customers had a dedicated network card for database connection"

*2) Does this mean I should put a dedicated network card JUST on my
database server? Or do I need one on my DB server and also on EACH of my
reddot servers? We use virtual servers - if that makes any difference.*

Thanks again!
Kelly
