I seem to be missing something small in my configuration, so hopefully
somebody will be able to pick it up and let me know... I would be very
grateful.
The setup - I have a newly built RedDot 7.5 server (yes, has to be 7.5)
with a new project. I am quite far into the build (actually almost done)
and so far everything is working just fine. Now, I am trying to do a very
simple pre-execute script in one of the templates and here is what happens:

- In General Settings
- Allow active templates is on
- Eligible suffixes - ASP
- Caching time - 0
- In project variant settings, ASP is selected as scripting for active
templates
- On template I add simple code <% response.write("hello") %>
- I wrap the code in pre-execute block-marks along with some markup
(just a simple div tag)
When I preview, nothing between the pre-execute block-marks is rendered. If
I add the <!--RDExecute=ASP--> to the template then I get an error "The
operation timed out URL:
http://server/CMS/rdexecutetempe262e372124a4e07929f1f4b43680ad4.asp";
Some things to take into account: RedDot on the server is accessed through
port 9999 (configured in IIS), is there anything I need to do regarding
that?
