Hi Heather,

It sounds like you are using the Telerik editor.  Yeah, turning off do not 
convert to html will not work.

In the element setting, there is ASCII text only or something, that is 
known to work.  HOWEVER, that is bad news for any content that is HTML.

Best practice: separate content class for CODE and HTML.  Code entered as 
content should use placeholder with the setting ASCII text only.
