Hi all,
I just did my first 6.1 install and found it too winbloze like for my liking.
I realize that in order to reach the masses we need to do this BUT what
would be wrong with continuing to cater to the old timers a little also?
My biggest complaint is that I cannot easially find fdisk during the install.
I am not interested in that @#$$%^&* disk druid! There used to be a choice
between the 2. Now you are forced to use the @##$% thing. I do not want
automagic disk partitions I want to specify which mount points go on which
partitions. For people like myself who have been installing and upgrading
redhat since the Mothersday edition why isn't this an option? I ended up
running fdisk from the shell to partition the disks. Yes I know that works
but I should not have to do it that way. Has Redhat forgotten why a lot
of people use linux? Choices maybe?? Other than that it was not too bad though.
On the good side I do like the ease with which X gets configured.

Unix IS user friendly. It's just selective about who its friends are.
