Anyone:
I am trying to set-up a dot matrix Laser 190E on my parallel port and
the device is not seen. I use printtool and set the queue as lp, on
device /dev/lp0, filter is the device driver for text-only because the
brand of the printer is an off-the-wall dot matrix. Does anyone know
why I can't see any of the devices, lp0,lp1, or lp2. If I test a page
to the port it fails. Says" the file/device /dev/lp0, lp1, or lp2 does
not exist." I tested all three.
