Can this compile safely be used for compiling everything?
I'm most concerned about kernels (2.2 and 2.3), but I compile quite a lot
of other stuff here.
I recall in times past that there have been concerns about which compilers
can be used for what, and I note that RHL 6.2 ships with egcs.
otoh I've seen reports that gcc 2.95 is better for C++, and that interests
me.
