We support DVD ROM drives and to an extend DVD RAM. The extra stuff needed
for DVD movie playback is not included and there are some fascinating legal
issues involved in that one.
So the summary is
o DVD rom disks should work fine
o DVD ram is a maybe case
DVD-Movie stuff is a thing for the future for legal not technical reasons
