I've been wanting to take time out to say something about this for
a while, especially since I have been one voice here that has
occasionally grumbled about this in the past...

While I haven't had time or opportunity to do lots of rh62 installs,
we have migrated to it for all our new boxes. There are indeed some
fundamental changes from rh61, but to my satisfaction I found just
about all I needed to know so clearly documented right at the very
top of the "RedHat 6.2 Reference Guide".

Wonderful! Fantastic!

Very well written, and exactly what a sysadmin needs to know when
using new installations around a network!

Thank you so much for this. The documentation cdrom is 450Mb
crammed-full of useful information and very neatly put together.
Hey, it has even inspired me to try using LDAP with NIS around
here...

Good to see that you guys are listening to us out here.

I do have some concerns about what has been actually been done
though... but I'll take this to another post.

One thing that seems to be lacking is documentation on how to set
up pcmcia on a laptop on a RH box... I figured it out for myself,
but I couldn't find any redhat-specific docs about it anywhere.
(RH seems to have a set of modified pcmcia init scripts, esp with
the existance of the /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia config file).

Cheers
Tony
