Looking at your mail program...

...you should have no problem making use of Netscape's built-in mail
filtering to filter messages to separate folders (the directions that
follow assume Netscape 4.73, but 4.7 will probably have this too). Go to
"Edit", select "Message Filters", and when the window pops up, select
"New...". Create a filter called "redhat-devel", where "Sender" "is"
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]", and have it move the message to a
new folder called "rh-dev". Do something similar for your poptop and
ipchains mailing lists (most lists have a header or two that never changes
for every message).

There, now you've got your mailing lists separated in to individual
folders, and no longer need subject mangling.
