Hi!

I am new to this list. I live in Madurai (temple city), India trying to
setup RedHat Linux 5.0 in a Cyrix PR200 with 2.1GB and a NE2000 compatible
NIC. I have successfully installed the OS and configured DNS, DHCP, SAMBA
and IP fowarding/IP Masq.

The network [Ethernet/10base2 HUB] consists of 4 clients [all pentium]
and 1 linux server. I've used DHCP for dynamic IP allocation and I have
successfully done that. I would like to give all my LAN users Internet
access thru IP Masq. I've done whatever has to be done to config IP Masq
and still I am not able to achieve.
I am able to connect to my ISP thru a 33.6k Boca external modem but when
trying to ping or lynx to some site either from the console (on the server)
or on the clients, I am not able to get connected!?

I don't know where I am making mistake. I am attaching few of the
important config files with this mail. They are:

install.log - originally, in /tmp dir - shows what components I've installed
messages - originally, in /var/log dir - one time boot process recorded
network - originally, in /etc/sysconfig dir - to show I've enabled IP
forwarding
options - originally, in /etc/ppp dir - something missing here?
rc.fw - originally, in /etc/rc.d dir - firewall setup
rc.local - originally, in /etc/rc.d dir - is everything alright here?
redhat-release - originally in /etc dir - to show I am using redhat release
Hurricane
vsnl - pppd/chat script that successfully logs in to my ISP [passwd not
shown for security reasons!]

Need more config info from my side? If yes, please write me and I will send
you.

I have been trying various config tweaking which I know but all ended up
with no positive
result. I have gone thru all the how-tos and mini-howtos which didn't help
much.

Please help me to solve this prob.

NOTE: The most funniest thing with this failure is that when I tried the
same install in this same
system for the first time, I could connect from clients and from console!
But now, after
following word by word [as in my workbook containing info from the first
install] I could
not do so.

waiting.
