I've been trying to figure out what my /etc/hosts file should look like.
Initially, I was getting a gethostbyname failure when I ran fetchmail.
So, I added a 127.0.0.1 setting for my hostname in /etc/hosts. After that
fetchmail worked, but sendmail went into it's timeout during a boot.
So, what should /etc/hosts have in it? The only networks I'm connecting to
is thru ppp. I have a few hostnames in my /etc/hosts for my computers at
work. I can connect to them when I dial into work thru ppp.
Thanks,
Steve
