I am a diabetic with vision problems and have some
trouble reading some books. Unfortunately the
Redhat book seems to be one of them. As one who is
going to install 5.1 on a new computer I wonder if
I can get some help here?

I have a new computer with an AMD K6 cpu at 300Mhz
with 64meg of memory. It has a 4 gig hard drive
divided into C and D. C is 2.2 Gig and D is 1.7. I
was planning to use D as the Redhat drive but I
can reformat C and use it if it would be better to
do so. I can always put the DOS items on d: and
sort of forget them. It also has a 24X cd rom.
Fips recognized everything and was ready to start
work when I shut it down until I could "read" some
more.

In reading the redhat book the "partitions" are
only suggested sizes and some of them had no size
at all. Would some kind person care to give me
some suggestions on sizes please. Also would I be
better off using fips or letting disk druid do
most of the work? I don't plan to use that hd for
anything but redhat

BTW I am using a 17" monitor. This way I can read
a lot better here than I can a book. I also hope
that I can use 640 or 800 size as any larger and
I will have a problem.. This old computer will be
used for the internet and what have you. The new
one will be used for my ham programs and serious
stuff. (G)

Any help would be appreciated.

Bob
