OK I'm flummoxed. I'm trying to get my Soundscape Elite (non-PnP, non-PCI) going under 5.1. (It used to work under 4.2...) There's a module for it in the production kernel, and I also tried compiling a custom kernel. I enabled sound support as a module, like the README says. The compilation/installation appears to behave, but when I run depmod, it complains that the sscape.o module contains unresolved symbols. Also, how does one pass parameters to modules that are loaded dynamically? (I know about the initialization stuff. I use the ssinit program from sndkit to do that, but I haven't gotten that far yet.) Thanks for any help.
