look at /etc/conf.modules, there should be an entry about IPX and
appletalk, I don't really remeber.. but there is a way to turn them off.
on the other hand but this is thin ice , I personally would cp
conf.modules to conf.modules.bak ( or helma or whatever) and mess around
I bet it will work if you just delete any ipx and appletalk entry.
And don't forget to back up that file :)
