I tried this route over 2 months ago and never got it to work.
You are bertter off going to http://www.apache-ssl.org the official
Apache-SSL site and grabing the .tar.gz ball (along with the ssleay one
there too) and compile your own.
I am not sure why but everytime I tried to use https that was installed
using the rpm it sigfaulted (and yes I had the ssleay rpm) but the
self-compiled version has worked great. One thing though, the rpm did
install some helpful files so you may still want to install it but then
recompile using the tar files.
