I've tried to get this to work and have read the IP Alias mini-howto and the
NAG but all to no avail. I hope someone can help me.

I have a private Class C network in my home office: 192.168.0.0. That network
is up and running properly. I am adding a Cisco Router so that I can connect
to my main office network. I've aliases eth0:0 to have an address on the other
network but cannot get the routes to work.

Here are the relevant addresses:

Machine IP Address (eth0:0): 175.41.1.40
LAN Address: 175.41.1.1 (local side of the router)
HUB Address: 175.100.1.41 (remote side of the router)

All packets not destined for an address within my private network should be
routed to the router since they are presumably intended for the main office
network. The router itself has a default gateway specified as 175.100.1.1 so
that it can route all packets coming to it over to the main office router.

How do I set all this up so that it all works.

For extra credit:

1) I am successfully using IP Masq so that my local net can access my ISP. Does
that come into play here as well so that the rest of my net can access the
   office?

2) As stated just above, I have successfully configured ppp to and IP Mask so
that my whole network can access the ISP. ppp sets up a default route. How
does that affect the fact that I need/want a default route to my router?
Does it help if I say that I only need a ppp default route if I won't be
   needing the router?

Thanx!
