I think there is one mistake in the installation of Netscape. Netscape is installed in /usr/lib/netscape, which is not the default installation directory for Netscape. Therefore the RealPlayer plugin is not found. Solution is to put in /etc/profile: MOZILLA_HOME=/usr/lib/netscape export MOZILLA_HOME Then the plugin is found automatically.
