Hi Guy's,
need some help with my home network, specifically named..

The Setup:
Linux server dials out to my ISP, runs masquerading for 2 Win95
machines

Everything is cool except...... FrontPage 98

Before FrontPage will start it has to resolve hostnames.
I have DNS enabled in the Win95 network setup pointing to my local ISP's DNS
servers, this works fine when I'm connected, but it does not work when I'm
offline and trying to resolve a Win95 machine name. I tried creating an
lmhosts file (like a Linux /etc/hosts) in c:\windows and putting the #PRE to
preload the addresses, but of course it MS$ and doesn't work....

What I want to do is get named working so that it will resolve my intranet
addresses, ie I do an nslookup on "warbird" and it comes back with
192.168.1.10

I tried setting up the caching nameserver according to the mini-howto, but
it relies on a dialup connection, and my local ISP is not going to resolve
warbird....

Appreciate any help or pointers to appropriate FAQ's

TIA
        Graham
