Dear Postmaster, I believe you have a user named 'cbooth', using host 'penelope'. This person is running a poorly configured procmail, and the error messages are flooding the redhat-list mailing list. This is a very heavy volume list, with many thousands of subscribers, having upwards of 1000 messages per week, and as you can imagine this is causing quite a bit of trouble. I, and several thousand other people, would be grateful if you could take immediate steps to rectify this situation. Your prompt attention to the matter is appreciated. Yours faithfully, David Landgren --- example error message starts --- Reporting-MTA: dns; nyx.interactive.net Received-From-MTA: DNS; localhost Arrival-Date: Wed, 4 Mar 1998 09:34:28 -0500 (EST) Final-Recipient: RFC822; [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Actual-Recipient: RFC822; |[EMAIL PROTECTED] Action: failed Status: 4.4.3 Last-Attempt-Date: Wed, 4 Mar 1998 09:34:40 -0500 (EST) Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from penelope (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by nyx.interactive.net (8.8.7/8.8.7) with ESMTP id JAA08755 for <cbooth@penelope>; Wed, 4 Mar 1998 09:34:28 -0500 (EST) (envelope-from [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Received: from mail.interactive.net by penelope (fetchmail-4.3.1 POP3 run by cbooth) for <cbooth@penelope> (single-drop); Wed Mar 4 09:34:30 1998 Received: from mail2.redhat.com (mail2.redhat.com [199.183.24.247]) by onyx.interactive.net (8.8.8/8.8.5) with SMTP id DAA26917 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Fri, 27 Feb 1998 03:38:45 -0500 (EST) Received: (qmail 8604 invoked by uid 501); 27 Feb 1998 08:37:10 -0000 Resent-Date: 27 Feb 1998 08:37:10 -0000 Resent-Cc: recipient list not shown: ; MBOX-Line: From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Feb 27 03:37:06 1998 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED] .alcoa.com> From: "Canary, Robert W." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: What Linux Needs!
