If you only have one box, don't worry about DNS. Continue to use your
provider's nameserver for your dialup link, and configure /etc/hosts to
reflect the various names of your box. For example:
192.168.1.100 mymachine www loghost mailhost
Then http://www.mydomain.org will go to your box.

If your really interested in configuring DNS, read the DNS-HOWTO, and
consider configuring your machine as a caching nameserver.
I'd recommend reading the NET-3-HOWTO before you even attempt to configure
a nameserver, though.
