Interestingly, when I upgraded from 4.2 to 5.0 I got some password
weirdness - I'd log on and be warned that my password would expire in
-12 days (-13 the day after etc.) I'd had shadowing enabled in 4.2.
So, worth a try I thought: so I pwunconv'ed and then pwconv'ed back
and - hey presto! - everything seems fine.
