1) Try CTRL-ALT-(+/-)

2) Check out
ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/unsup/squake-1.1-i386-unknown-linux2.0.tar.gz
and
ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/quake2-3.14a-i386-unknown-linux2.0.tar.gz.

3) Check out /etc/fstab, and the fstab man page, what you want to change
probably is msdos to vfat.

4) There's probably a utility to convert .debs to .rpm or .tgz format. You
might look at the debian web home, or ask the developers on irc
(irc.debian.org/#debian)
