There is some good info in the "ultrapenguin" html files
located on the RedHat site at:

/pub/mirrors/ultra/Users-Guide/
~12 small files with gif background you can d/l and
read at your own convenience.

I realize Sparc 10 isn't ultra but this is good info.

Sparc 10 install is the "easiest" RH install I have ever
done!

Be aware, Linux will reference the Hard Disks in order
no matter what their "Target ID" is.

If you have HDs in Target 1 and 3 and 5 with a CD in
Target 4

Target 1 will be /dev/sda
Target 3 will be /dev/sdb
Target 5 will be /dev/sdc

CDrom will be /dev/scd0

If you ever add a HD at Target 2, you will Reconfigure Linux ;)

Make partition "3" "Whole DISK" (Trust me!)
Do NOT make swap start with cylinder 0 (zero)

Boot up your sparc, hit "Stop A" and at the
{ok} probe-scsi-all <cr>
to see your hardware before you load up.

Plug your RedHat 4.2 CD into the drive and:

{ok} boot cdrom

You'll be glad you did.

(If you can tell me how to "Sucessfully load an Ultra_10" or Ultra_II",
I'll "Owe you Big-Time"(tm)).

Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself.
