Since installing RH5 I remained unable to run netscape. Running netscape only gives the message "locale `C' not supported", and then stops. Things I tried: getting the navigator as a tar-file, and installing with the ns-install script, and also by hand, tried the navigator.rpm, and finally got the thee communicator: _nothing worked_ . A few days ago I noticed also X isn't entirely happy with locale: after closing X it tells XF86Config: /etc/X11/XMetroconfig Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default So my locale-problem may lay deeper than just netscape. Before installing RH5 I had none of these problems. Could this be RH5/glibc specific, and what to do about it? (Leven without netscape, but only with lynx aint much fun :(( --- Julien Michielsen +31-10-4765.771 [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ /RedHat-Errata /RedHat-Tips /mailing-lists To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
