You're correct that you're being properly recognized.  The device names for 
scsi devices is similar to those for IDE devices, with a lead "flag" of "sd".
Thus, the first device in your chain will be "/dev/sda", followed by b, c, etc.
This is shown in the bottom line which states:

SCSI device sda: ...

If this is the only scsi device on the chain, you may have better success by 
resetting the ID on the from 3 to 0 or 1 for your boot device.

Be a good idea to read the SCSI HOWTO.
