Not really a pain if you say edit .bashrc and add (you can just add this
to /etc/bashrc if you want it to be a system wide user setting).
alias mflop='mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy'
alias uflop='umount /dev/fd0'
then to change to that dir quikly
alias a:='cd /mnt/floppy'
