All,
After way too much time at this... :) -- regarding my uugetty problems...
The most info I've found is that the modem is set to not automatically
pick-up. This is good. I've confirmed by moving it around on uugetty that it
is reading my uugetty.ttyS0 file. This is also good. As per the debug info,
uugetty initializes everything and waits for a "RING". It finds it, and
immidately initiates a connection. It's almost as if it's ignoring my
RINGBACK settings, and it doesn't state a darn thing about RINGBACK in the
debug file (as if maybe there was a typo, etc.) I grabbed the SRPM and did a
manual unpack of the tar ball and recompiled with the default Makefile. There
were a *lot* of warnings about pointers, but eventually the thing compiled...
moving uugetty in place of the existing binary proved to behave the same way.
Does anyone else even have RINGBACK working properly? For reference, I'm
running RHL 5 with all the updates applied short of the x-configurator and
x-server-wrapper.
Thanks for any thoughts.
