Do what I do - tell everyone you know you are looking
for 4MB 30 pin SIMMS and beg.  Advertise in the local
newsgroups and BBS's.  It works.

And regarding that "Linux on a 386" crack - I tested
Linux on a 386dx/25 w/ 8MB RAM (ameritech 2.5 (AKA
slackware) installed on UMSDOS FS) and fell in love 
with it.  Ran fine, never crashed, worked like a 
champ.  Fast, too (compared to another O$).
