I'm running RedHat 5.0, with most of the updates applied, and Netscape
4.0.4 (from the netscape-navigator-4.0.4-3.i386.rpm in redhat's contrib
dir) and a few weeks ago, DNS lookups in Netscape just stopped working.
It can still go to URLs where I specify an IP address, and it can find
hosts listed in /etc/hosts, but it won't do DNS lookups. Yes, my
/etc/resolv.conf is properly configured--all other programs do DNS lookups
just fine. (I really wish Netscape hadn't felt the need to implement
their own resolver...) Anyway, is anyone else having this trouble?
Any ideas what's causing it?
