It's not possible for me to have a cd-rom for the moment. I use the hard
disk method where I copy files from diskettes to a Dos 6 partition on my
hard drive, partition that I make accessible to Red Hat installation. I
want to make my Red Hat computer a web server, possibly with X-windows if
there is room enough but I think there will be if I use the on-the-fly
compression capabilities of e2compr . My dos 6 partition /hda1 is not big
enough to hold all the files needed for the installation of web server
and X-windows all at once (there would be if I used Doublespace on my dos
drive but then, it would not be accessible from Linux). How can I
install the base Red Hat files on my /hda1/redhat/rpms partition, logout
of Red Hat, get into dos, delete the base /hda1/redhat/rpms files, copy
the Red Hat web server files into my dos /hda1/redhat/rpms and run rpm
(or setup or install, whatever installation program is ) on my web server
files. Do I usr the expert method?, Or the install or upgrade method? I
consider it a test, if I can install Red Hat 5 on a computer with such
limited resources, then I can install it on almost any (dos) computer.
