I just installed 2 scsi dat drives with an adaptec 1540b and am using the
aha1542 driver. (use "insmod aha1542" to install the module)
One drive has scsi id set to 1, linux sees it as /dev/st0.
Second drive has scsi id set to 3, linux sees it as /dev/st1.
The scsi id's were left just as I received the drives.
They seem to work fine in some simple tests using mt and tar.

Anybody know about the correlation or lack thereof between scsi id
and device number? I'm a scsi neophyte.
