  Uhm, you're trying to run the mountd initscript (/etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs). If
you also run the portmapper (/etc/rc.d/init.d/portmap) *before* running
mountd, you should be allright.

PS: try using the runlevel editor from control-panel to do this, or if you're
more command line oriented, try chkconfig --level etc (man chkconfig)
