Yes.

They'll need entries in the /etc/passwd file, but of course as you're not
tied to GUI tools this is trivial to do.
As for the authentication, RH5.0 uses PAM and there's a PAM module floating
around somewhere for NT domain server authentication. I regret I can't
remember the name off hand, but a search on PAM and NT will probably
throw something up very quickly.
