Hi,

I just read a message that refered to a command called dmesg. So I tried
this out on the linux machine.

The out put of dmesg must show the boot up (I haven't read the man page
yet) but I noticed somethng that could cause me some problems latter.

I'm running an old 8 bit 3com card a 3c503 which is jumpered for 0x300 and
irq 5 In brackets it says that autoprobe is not recommended.. how do i
change this?. For some reason a Logitec bus mouse was detected on IRQ 5
earlier in the bootup, I don't have a mouse connected to the machine, so
why would this be happening?

TIA

Cya,

Pete
