Probably the problem was that searches like this one are not suitable for a
local use of the slapd daemon (inside a LAN) . I removed the "referall"
line in the slapd.conf file and when I run a request like

ldapsearch -h 127.0.0.1 'o=ASTER, c=IT'

I have a correct answer.
And the order is very important..... The Communicator LDAP client answer if
I put as path root the same string "o=ASTER, c=IT".

Hope this help someone else.
