Symbios Logic U/W SCSI controller is using the ncr53c875 chip which has
been supported since kernel 2.0.29. In fact the ncr53c8xx driver in kernel
2.0.34 is quite good and I am very happily using it. Just put "alias
scsi_hostadapter ncr53c8xx" in your /etc/conf.modules. I strongly encourage
you to use 2.0.34 kernel with ncr53c8xx compiled in or as a module.
