Strangest thing - Metro stopped working after several months
of faithful service. It stopped cold (see my post from last
week). In desparation, I reloaded Linux (several times,
different distros) and could not get any X server working
in more than 16 colors. I was willing to sell my laptop so
I could buy another brand. I finally got hold of a knowledgable
Sharp cust service tech, who told me this happened to another
Sharp customer. They were able to resolve the problem by
reinstalling the Windows95 drivers.

Yeah right.

You guessed it. I started Wintendo95, reinstalled the video
drivers, and now MetroX works like a champ. I stopped using
Windows, and I guess my laptop was lonely for the clouds.

I nomonate this for the "Strangest Linux Problem of 1998"
