I was attempting to install RedHat 5.0 on a machine we have at work.
This particular machine uses an Adaptec AH 2940-UW SCSI controller. I
could partition the drive, but I couldn't mount any of the partitions
afterward. (Hence, I couldn't install linux)
After doing some research I discovered that support for these SCSI
controllers was dubious at best. Does anyone know of a driver or patch
which will work with the AH-2940-UW controller? And if you do, how
would you get it installed when linux isn't on the machine yet. (Yes
I'm a newbee)
