I am trying to customise the colours in jed and xjed 0.98-42 and getting some
weird results.

"jed -bg black"  will load jed in a colour xterm and load into jed a new file
called black rather than set the background colour ! Same result with "fg"
etc.

Also with xjed setting resources in .Xdefaults for the colours has no effect
at all. Setting the font or initial size etc is fine. Actually if I try and
set a colour it does have an effect it turns off the default xjed colours and
switches it into black and white !

I have tried xrdm ~/.Xdefaults and that doesnt help.

I can set colour resources OK for other apps eg Nedit.
