I received this same error.  According to RealAudio's Support page
on error messages - http://service.real.com/help/errors/error38.html, it
states that the resulting error message is due to either a conflict 
with a previously installed version, or the CPU not being able to handle
it.  Granted, this is for the Windows/Mac versions, as that is all they
'support' on that particular page -- whether or not that explanation
goes for the Linux version is the question, I suppose.
