I'm really not sure if this is a network problem or something with
Netscape. I'm running RHL 4.2 and Netscape Communicator 4.0. I have a
private network running between two computers, one being my Linux box the
other is Win95. I access my ISP via dialup. I have both the network (eth0)
and the dialup (ppp0) configured and working.
Here is my problem. After connecting with my ISP and starting Netscape,
after a short delay I get the message that the DNS server is not found or
unavailable (or something similar to that). If, however, I deactivate my
network Netscape will connect with no problems. I figure that with the
network connected Netscape is defaulting to my network when trying to
connect. Is there some way to get Netscape to only "see" my dialup?
Thanks
