I installed RH5.0 on a p166 with a sony multiscan 17sfII and a S3 Virge/DX
video card. Everything works except when I start XFree86 I get the screen
divided into two panes (left 3/4 a nice sort of aqua, right 1/4 purple and
the initial xterm is completely visible in the left pane and a portion of
the right edge is visible in the right pane. I've tried every sony setting
with no joy. Windows 95 worked ok on this video card but I nuked it when I
installed linux so it's not easy to get back to it. TIA.
