Does Linux use the ***te "filename"*** command or something similar
when one wants to do some quick editing on an ascii file? The Solaris
environment allows this command, just wondering if Linux allows the
same?
Also, is there a way to perform a comprehensive search for a
particular text string throughout a directory structure? Sort of like
a global grep command....as opposed to using grep on one file at a
time...
