I could use some help if someone can help with this little problem:
I just got Red Hat Linux 5.0 and I would like to install it onto my
system and run multiple OS's. I have two hard drives, an IDE Conner
1.28 Gig that I run Win95 on. and I have a SuperIDE WD 6.4 Gig that I
use for programs... I have made a partition of about .99 gigs for Linux
(yeah.. I know rather large, but hey.. what else is the space to be used
for :) ) .. anyway, in order to acess the SuperDMA that is built into
the SuperIDE I bought a Promise Ultra33 DMA controller card that plugs
into a slot just like a modem or a video card. And then the hard drives
are connected (I'm running 2 primaries rather than a primary and a slave
and I'm using my cd as my slave).. my question is this : Win95 says
that the card is a SSC card, when I go to install Red Hat how should I
go about this? Should I install the hard drives as IDE and the
controller as SSC? Or what?
Thanks
