FWIW, the .tgz extension on the codecs file is misleading.....

Just untar them...

Somehow I think the "Real Networks" people are some of the most clueless
folks on this planet.

They hide their "free" RealOne player for M$ and (I hate to admit this) I
tried installing it on 2 Win2K systems and while the install completes the
application just doesn't run...
