Full support hey? I'm using a 2944UW and all I've heard about it
on the linux front is that its a bit dodgy :\ If they claim to provide
full support for Linux, does this mean that they're gona be updating the
current drivers with some that can cope with things like "auto-termination"
without causing a fuss?
I like my adaptec under NT and 95 but under Linux it seems to run
soooooooooo much more slowely.. eg: unpacking the kernel onto my ide drive
takes about 20secs maximum.. doing it onto my scsi takes about 5mins!! I
don't like to complain or anything but it does seem a bit ridiculouos (in
all fairness my ide drive is an UDMA drive so it does IO faster anyhow.. but
not *that* much faster!
