With my setup, I have my RH box acting as domain controller for my W2K machines. You will need to ditch the cleartext passwords for this to work (you shouldn't need cleartext passwords anyways).
If you do it this way, you can have login scripts, roaming profiles, etc. You won't need a password to connect to shares because your login password will be used.
