Excuse my ignorance, but if what I understand you're saying you want to
record a wave file from a tape?

The shouldn't you be using line -IN not line -OUT? Line out only sends a
signal out of the PC, line in takes a signal from another source? no?

Seems logical to me or am I missing something?
