Has anyone experienced trouble with the KDE screensaver under RH8.0?? Specifically, I can go into Control Center and fiddle with the parameters and the screensaver works fine (when "testing" it), but it fails to initialize on its own when the mouse is idle for the designated length of time -- instead of displaying the screensaver, the screen just goes blank (but still asks for password).
I thought a solution might be updating KDE with files like "kdebase-3.0.3-14.i386.rpm" (instead of the 3.0.3-13 release that comes with the RH8.0psyche distribution), but this led to a tangled web of dependencies between several files that I haven't sorted through yet (kdebase-3.0.3-14.i386.rpm, kdebase-devel-3.0.3-14.i386.rpm, kdelibs-3.0.3-8.3.i386.rpm). I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this KDE screensaver problem and fixed it?
