My first thought would be to call on the Onstream folks. I have called about Linux support in the past and gotten some good answers.
The more crucial question would be the SCSI card support. My thoughts anyway. All the ones I found were old postings, nothing very new. According to Onstream's web site there is now some support for Onstream drives on Linux with a driver called osst. They even say it might already be in the kernel. I'm running Redhat 8 with kernel 2.4.18-24.8.0. -How can I tell if I already have the osst driver installed? -I plan on using an Adaptec AHA-2930U2 SCSI card. Anyone know if there are issues with this? -Can anyone recommend a backup software I should start with, assuming I get the drive working? Any help is appreciated.
